Danny Dixon was reared in Southwest Texas where he was a multi-talented academic and athletic high school. He attended Abilene Christian University where he received a B.A. with an emphasis in New Testament textual studes and an M.A. in Bible and Related Studies. Danny has served as college minister for congregations in Blacksburg, VA (Virginia Tech), St. Louis, Missouri (University of Missouri At St. Louis, UMSL), Los Angeles, (UCLA, USC, and Santa Monica Community College), and Fort Worth, Texas (Texas Christian University). He has assisted evangelistic efforts in Mexico and Brazil. Danny has written four books: Discipling Ministries: An Inside Look (Gospel Advocate, 1987); Essential Christian Baptism; Standing to Change/Changing to Stand; and Baptism: Which One Did You Receive (Star, 1990, 1993, and 1996 respectively). As a founder of Disciples for One God: A Biblical Unitarian Ministry, Danny conducts regular evangelistic and theological Bible studies, stressing clear thinking in exegetical biblical and doctrinal studies. He is Moderator of the Yahoo Discussion Board Disciples for One God (http:4OneGod.net , created in February 2003). Danny recently completed a four-month on-line debate vs. Marc Taylor in the Pre-Arranged Debates section of Christian Apologetics Research Ministries forum (www.carm.org) entitled Biblical Unitarianism: Biblical or Not? He participated in two public panel debates with Dan Mages (Hunger Truth founder, www.HungerTruth.com) and Lee Greer against members of the Evangelical Debate Society held at the historical First Congregational Church in Riverside, California on December 30, 2005 ("The Trinity: Truth or Tragedy - Part 1"), and in a Part 3 follow-up panel debate teamed with Robert Hach (See his blog "Reflections of a Generic Christian" http://ereflector.blogspot.com/) and David Murphy against members of the Evangelical Debate Society held at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace in Yorba Linda, CA in June 2006. A "tentmaker" (Acts 18:3), Danny presently supports himself as a public school teacher holding Texas credentials in Generic Special Education (K-12), English and Language Arts (6-12), and Composite Social Studies (8-12). He is presently teaching high school English and English as a Second Language. Danny is also a poet and is currently involved in several secular and theological writing projects.
