Eugene H. Peterson Audio & Video

Eugene H. Peterson is a respected Presbyterian pastor, scholar and poet. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Seattle Pacific University, a Bachelor of Sacred Philosophy from New York theological Seminary and a Masters in Semitic Languages from Johns Hopkins University. For 29 years, he served as pastor of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, Maryland. Peterson retired from the pastorate in 1991 in order to devote more time to his writing and teaching. Following this, he was the Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia until his retirement from teaching in 2006.

Peterson is known for his work in making the Bible and its meaning more accessible and understandable to modern-day audiences through new translations, many of which are available on audiobook. He is best known for The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language, an idiomatic translation of the Bible available on CD, Cassette, and MP3 CD at LearnOutLoud.com.
