Justine Tonner-Joyce Audio

Bachelor Arts (Psych.Phil.), Graduate Diploma Educational Psychology, Masters of Counselling, Member Australian Psychological Society, Affiliate Member APS College of Sports Psychology.

Justine Tonner-Joyce is a registered psychologist with close to ten years experience working with young people and adults in clinical, educational and private practice settings. From 1992-1999 Justine competed in university, state and national rowing teams. With the support of a Victorian Institute of Sport Scholarship Justine became World Champion and World Record holder in the women's lightweight pair with Eliza Blair in 1997. In 2004 Justine was inducted into the Monash University Sports Hall of Fame.

Coaching schoolgirl rowers since 1994 Justine teaches the technical and mental skills she applied in her own training such as time management, relaxation, visualisation, concentration, attention, goal setting, motivation, teamwork, race preparation, and anxiety management. Justine is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and an Affiliate Member of the APS College of Sports Psychologists. She currently holds the position of School Counsellor and rowing coach at Melbourne Girls Grammar School.
