The Start-to-Finish® Library by Don Johnston Incorporated offers a wide-selection of engaging narrative chapter books for adolescent readers in the intermediate, middle and high school grades who are not proficiently reading at grade level.   • High-frequency and topic-specific vocabulary
  • Careful introduction of unfamiliar vocabulary and idioms
  • Limited number of ideas per sentence
    
The Blue Library offers:
  • Grades 5-12 interest level
  • Grades 4-5 readability
  • Syntax and vocabulary of more formal or literary English
  • More complex or abstract vocabulary than the Gold Library
  • More ideas introduced into longer sentences
  • More varied sentence structures
  • Mastery of 1st and 2nd grade level words assumed
