National Public Radio (NPR) is a producer and distributor of news, talk and entertainment programming available for purchase on CD and cassette. NPR’s spoken word section features a variety of NPR series’ including: All Things Considered, Car Talk, Fresh Air and A Prairie Home Companion. Hosted by Michelle Norris, Robert Siegel and Melissa Block, All Things Considered is a two-hour program, broadcast five days a week, featuring interviews, news, commentaries, “off beat” features and reviews. Fresh Air with Terry Gross covers contemporary arts and issues and is one of public radio’s most popular programs with 4.5 million listeners tuning in to 450 NPR stations worldwide. Car Talk deals with some of the wackiest (and not so wacky) issues and questions related to cars. No subject or scenario is off limits as long there’s an automobile involved. You can listen to Car Talk via digital download, online streaming, via weekly Podcast or on CD. A Prairie Home Companion, hosted by Garrison Keillor, features live performances, music, talk, poetry readings and comedy, to name a few. A variety of past shows are available for purchase on CD.
