Following that painful attempt at storytelling, perhaps you will not be surprised to learn that Mignon never writes fiction, and instead makes her living writing technical documents for large biotech companies (e.g., Applied Biosystems) and health articles for web sites (e.g., the Stanford Cancer Center).

Mignon earned a B.A. in english from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a M.S. in biology from Stanford University. Rising from an early start in journalism as the editor-in-chief of her award-winning high school newspaper, she worked at various college and local newspapers getting her big break during the dotcom boom, serving as the top editor at the web sites for LongerLiving, CaregiverZone, and GeneticHealth.

After the dotcom bust, Mignon went into business for herself, founding Mignon Fogarty, Inc., which has developed a deep client base and provides a steady stream of technical writing and editing services. In short, her dream has come true: Mignon earns her living as a writer and has enough free time to produce podcasts.
