The most famous of Jane Austen’s novels, Pride and Prejudice is the satirical tale of the notorious Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, one of the most popular couples in literary history. When the silly Mrs. Bennet tries to marry off each of her five daughters, numerous romantic adventures (or misadventures, one might say) ensure at the Bennet’s Hertfordshire residence. The story is highlighted by the unconventional Bennet family and the book’s modern, comedic take on marriage. A must-read for all literature fans!

All messed up, April 10, 2009

Not only are the chapters mis-numbered but the downloads aren't correct either. Every time I try to download tracks will replace each other. It's very strange. The audio quality is great though so if they can get the links fixed I'll be back to listen.

Well read and entertaining, but sloppy directory, September 19, 2007

So far I am enjoying this audiobook immensely, but I find the jumbled up order of the titles with typing errors very hard to navigate. For those who come after me, the first "Volume 3 - Chapter 8" listed is actually Volume 2 - Chapter 8. "Volume 3 - Chapter 10" directly below it is actually Volume 2 - Chapter 10 (there is another Volume 3 - Chapter 10 further down which has the correct title). The second "Volume 2 - Chapter 16" should say Volume 2 - Chapter 18, and finally, where it says simply "Pride and Prejudice - Chapter 8", it is actually Volume 3 - Chapter 8. Whoever entered these titles in must have been really tired or just didn't care for accuracy!

Top notch recording of a classic, August 10, 2007

This is an excellent recording of a very difficult piece of literature. Catherine Byers manages to capture the characters and portray them in a very entertaining manner. I downloaded the audio because this is one of my wife's favorite books. I'm really glad that I did. She enjoyed it immensely - and I found myself getting reeled in as well.
