A pretty good listen, April 22, 2006

This podcast comes out often and features many short stories of different types by different authors. There are different narrators and they vary in quality and dramatic ability. You may have to try a few to get one you'll like, but there are so many choices that this remains a really useful podcast for those always looking for new material.

Stories to Go Podcast is a series of seven short stories narrated by Scoot and Sushma Joshi. The stories range from "Tropism XV" by Nathalie Sarraute and "Kisses" by S. P. Elledge to "Evangelist" by Joyce Cary and "No Cure for It" by Thomas Wolfe.
While the selection of stories on the podcast must be commended for their literary quality and variety, I feel that the narration lacks quality. The enunciation of neither narrator is smooth, so that the story's feel is lost along the way.
I give this podcast 3.5 stars. I would recommend it to short story lovers but caution them to listen to it at their own risk.
