The NPR: Health & Science podcast is a weekly podcast by National Public Radio. Its content includes health issues, science discoveries, environmental catastrophes and campaigns. As one example, an interview talks about the comparison of Katrina relief efforts with housing facilities in the war-torn Iraq, and its effects on the physical and mental health of individuals. This show features the best of NPR's award winning shows Morning Editions, and All Things Considered. Other topics in the first podcast that I reviewed were the global vaccination plan, saving the world's great apes from extinction, and the eminent Dr. Robert Shaler on identifying Katrina victims.
This is one of the best news shows about health, science, and environment that I've heard so far. However, the greatest thing about this show is that even while interviewing people over the phone, the volume level remains the same, which is something very rare among podcasts!
