Step into the world of physics-but bring your spirituality along. Fred Alan Wolf is a theoretical physicist and firewalker who sees the sacred in everything-and can give you a theorem to prove it. From every angle he blasts the boundary between science and spirit, and can make universal consciousness sound like a logical idea. He may be the first physicist ever to break into pop culture celebrity. In his featured appearance in the movie, What the Bleep Do We Know?, he brought cutting edge quantum theory down to earth, and stirred a cult following by heralding proof of ancient spiritual principles for a mainstream audience. "Mind is not limited or contained within the boundaries of the material world," says Dr. Wolf. "Mind is not in you and in me separately. Mind is universal, escaping time and space. So when ideas pop into existence, it's not just in your mind that they're happening." Heavy stuff? Yes. But "Captain Quantum" has a disarming way of delivering profound statements with gusto and a generous dose of mischief, so that even if you yawn at the mere mention of an electron, this time you'll want to wake up and come along for the ride. 1 Hour.

Fred Alan Wolf received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from U.C.L.A. in 1963. As a lecturer at prestigious universities around the world and a prolific author, he is well known for his ability to inspire both the scientific and the lay community. Dr. Wolf continues his research on the relationship between quantum physics and consciousness. His books include the National Book Award winner Taking the Quantum Leap: The New Physics for Nonscientists (Harper Perennial 1989), The Yoga of Time Travel: How the Mind Can Defeat Time (Quest Books 2004), and Dr. Quantum's Little Book of Big Ideas: Where Science Meets Spirit (Moment Point Press 2005).

Okay If You Can Forget the Deception - I won't

This was my first purchase from Learn Out Loud, so it's a sore point that I was sold something after being promised something else.

I already owned the two other Fred Alan Wolf titles, so it was good news that a third audiobook was available, Dr. Quantum and the Spiritual Laws of Physics.

This isn't an audiobook at all, which means it doesn't have the structure or the presentation or the editing. Instead, it's a chat between Wolf and Michael Toms for the New Dimensions radio show. The audio quality is lower than the audiobooks, there's the usual irrelevant stuff that isn't about the topic, and it's not Fred Alan Wolf narrating, but Wolf and the interviewer. Also, I could have bought it for half the price at New Dimensions.

If I cancel the membership with Learn Out Loud, it will be over this. I've emailed them twice about deception concerning the memoir/novel A Million Little Pieces, and their response in essence was, "Not our fault."
