Noam Chomsky is an MIT linguistics professor and political activist known for his criticisms of U.S. foreign policy. Through the dozens of books he has authored over the last 50 years, Chomsky has contributed many significant theories in the field of linguistics, as well as numerous critiques of America's political and military involvement from the Vietnam War up to the current conflict in Iraq. Along with his books, he is also a frequent speaker at universities and on media broadcasts throughout the world. Many of his speaking engagements have been recorded on audio and video.
