The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles

LearnOutLoud.com has also published a number of classic works which established the ideas behind The Secret. Thought Vibration, or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World by William Walker Atkinson is a cornerstone of the New Thought Movement. And Wallace D. Wattles’ The Science of Being Great does for personal growth, what his book The Science of Getting Rich has done for manifesting wealth.

We’ve also had a few audio books published through our TeachOutLoud service that pertain to the law of attraction entitled: The Believer’s Guide To The Law of Attraction and The Slender Path.

John Wooden’s Legacy

Wooden2.gif

I realize I run the risk of raising the ire of Florida students and alumni but I’ll admit that I’ll be cheering for the UCLA Bruins in tonight’s national championship game. After all, we’re located in Los Angeles and I’ve taken graduate business classes on campus so I’m a quasi-alumnus of the school.

Just as Flordia has a storied tradition in football, UCLA has one in hoops. I find the legacy of John Wooden to be one of the most remarakable in all of pro sports. I had the chance to catch a few of the interviews with UCLA and LSU coaches and players before Saturday’s Final Four games and it’s amazing how much of the conversation focused on UCLA’s past championship teams and its legendary coach despite the fact that we’re more than three decades removed from Wooden’s last title.

If you’re interested in learning more about John Wooden and how his unique philosophy towards basketball and life has inspired so many people, I’d encourage you to check out some of the Wooden-related titles we have here on LearnOutLoud:

Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court – A great audiobook narrated by Beau Bridges.

John Wooden: Values, Victory, and Peace of Mind
– A DVD that gives an overview of Wooden’s philosophy.

Powertalk interview with Tony Robbins – An interview of Coach Wooden conducted by Tony Robbins.

It’ll be a fun game to watch tonight and regardless of who wins both teams have had amazing seasons and should be proud of how far they’ve gotten.

Marianne Williamson

marianne2.jpg

I had the distinct privilege of seeing Marianne Williamson speak in Santa Monica tonight. She has a wonderful presence and is a tremendous speaker. A couple of the quotes that I wrote down from the lecture:

Some of your greatest successes you’ve deemed failures. Some of your greatest failures you’ve deemed successes.

Only what you are not giving is what is lacking in the situation.

(Quoting Martin Luther King Jr.) Your life begins to end on the day when you stop talking about what really matters.

(You can find some more cool Marianne Williamson quotes here.)

It was good timing that I went tonight because Seth just put up a new Marianne Williamson author page. He did an awesome job with the bio and assembling the wide array of her audio and video material that currently exists. You’ll definitely want to check it out.

I was also impressed with Williamson’s political involvement. She is working hard to lobbying for the creation of a U.S. Department of Peace which has to be one of the coolest and most refreshing ideas I’ve heard recently. For more information and to find out how you can join her campaign, click here.

What an amazing woman. It’s an honor to be able to feature her on LearnOutLoud.com.

(Note: I see that Seth and I both just posted blog entries on Marianne at almost the identical time. Ah heck, we’ll just leave ’em both up for you! :))

The Gargantuan Power of Anthony Robbins

We’ve put up I believe every single audio and video title that Anthony Robbins offers now. Today I finished putting up the individual PowerTalk! series that Audio Renaissance has released. These consist of one tape of Tony Robbins talking about a subject and on the second tape conducting an interview with one of the leaders in the field on that topic. And the people he gets are major in the self development and business fields: Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Leo Buscaglia, Dr. John Gray, Dr. Stephen R. Covey, Dr. Barbara De Angelis, former UCLA coach John Wooden, and a few others. You can get all these titles individually, you can get them in the Professional Series which focuses on financial goals, or you can get the Personal Series which focuses on relationships and emotional development, or you can get them as a complete set with PowerTalk I & II. So check them all out on our Anthony Robbins page:
